Marquee Hire – Frequently Asked Questions
At which time of year can I hire a marquee?
We rent out our prestige and standard marquees all year round. Due to the technology used in marquees, we are not restricted by the British weather.
They are designed and built to withstand all types of British weather and offer your guests a warm inviting haven in winter and a cool escape in the summer.
What areas will you deliver to?
Every time you hire a marquee, we will deliver it ourselves at the agreed time.

I need to tell the venue when you will erect and dismantle the marquee, when will you arrive to do this?
If you are hiring the marquee over the weekend, we will arrive on Thursday or Friday to erect it on site, and will return on Monday or Tuesday to take it down and remove it.
For weekday hire we will arrive on Saturday or Sunday and return the following week.
If you wish to hire a marquee on a longer term, we will discuss convenient times with you directly.
Will the marquee damage the lawn?
The pegs used to fix the structure in place will leave little evidence that the marquee has been situated there.
Depending on how long you intend to hire the marquee, the grass underneath the flooring will be discoloured immediately after its removal. Grass will usually fully recover.
In cases of long term use, the grass may be patch due to the lack of sunlight.
What size marquee do you recommend?
If you intend to have more than 100 guests we would recommend a custom made marquee and invite you to contact us about this as early as possible to avoid disappointment.
For up to 100 guests a 28 x 38ft or similar is usually sufficient, where a 10 x 12ft marquee can comfortably hold a smaller party of 50 seated guests.
Allow for more space and budget should you require extra space within, or next to, the marquee for added sections for entertainment or exhibiting.
Will I need electricity to power the marquee?
We can offer flexible contract hire where you can supply your own electricity and we will provide safe outdoor extension cables.
Alternatively we can supply generators (at extra cost) which are particularly useful for remote settings or if you do not wish to, or have permission to, connect the power to the electricity at the venue.
Do I have to have flooring with the marquee?
Flooring is optional and we will supply hard wooden flooring where requested. Private parties and VIP or business events where guests are to be seated usually need hard flooring, which is particularly useful as we cannot predict that the ground will be dry enough for guests to walk on.
Some organisers choose not to have flooring, which is ideal should you be using the marquee at a festival where guests are simply walking in and out to view or purchase items within it. Again we cannot predict the weather and flooring is recommended.
